Im very happy that this was my first ever wedding, it was amazing in so many ways. Too bad I had class the next day, recovering from all that eating, dancing and drinking was not easy!

Food & Geography

That picture was taken at a "kafana" a traditional restaurant that has live music. They usually have a 3 or 4 piece band that plays serbian folk. Everyone usually joins in on the singing, except for me, I usually lip-sync. Time for today geography lesson...dont worry its not as difficult as differentiating Austria and Australia (5 points for whoever gets the reference).
Belgrade is located at the confluence of two rivers (Danube and Sava), one of the reasons why its such a great location for a city. Those fish in the picture are probably from the river! There are some amazing restaurants and clubs along the river, some are even rafts. Dont worry Ill be going to many of them

My serbian sister! Desa is my best friend in Belgrade and has always been there if I ever needed anything. She got married last Sunday (Ill post pics soon) and will be moving to montreal at the end of summer

Here is a nice restaurant I went to that serves traditional serbian food, what made it extra special ( ie its rare, probably only one in belgrade) they had live chickens and a cat running around! No they dont cook the chickens.. They love when you give them cornbread, and the cat would come and sit on your lap..awww

I had a few hours before my flight to belgrade, so I went to the old city.. its like 7am in this picture and Im pretty tired.. (as you can see) I went with a bulgarian I met on the plane..Ill probable visit him in sofia in the next few months..
